Loredan Krug was born on August 14, 1984 in Lipova, Romania as Loredan Ovidiu Stoica. He spent his early years living in an orphanage in Romania till he was adopted by Theodore and Amelia Krug, a banker and executive assistant, at the age of 6. His new adoptive parents moved him to Chicago, Illinois where he still resides today.
His interest in acting began at the age of 14 when he went to see a main stage performance at The Second City. He was inspired by the performance and decided to pursue a career in improv comedy. He began his training at The Second City in 2000 and furthered his training at The iO Theater till 2010. About half way into his improv training, his coach recommended that he take some acting lessons to improve his voice. In 2005, he began taking acting classes and that was when he decided to make the switch in concentrations from improv comedy to acting. His biggest inspirations are the teachings of Constantin Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Uta Hagen. He also has a love of opera which has been crucial to his development and understanding of the voice and vocal techniques. From 2012-2015, he was an acting coach for Dream of Passion Theatre with a goal of bringing back the art of acting. After 15 years of training and teaching, he decided to make the transition from teacher to full time actor in the fall of 2015. He is passionate about his art so is still constantly training at various institutions in including Vagabond School for the Arts, Acting Studio Chicago, and Green Room Studios.
Aside from his acting, Loredan Krug also has a great interest in psychology and human behavior. He received his Bachelors in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University in 2015 and spent a great deal of time doing research alongside his professors. He is also a certified NLP Trainer and Body Work Specialist since 2012 with training by Dr. Edie Perry at the Excellence Quest Training Institute. He was married to Christine Maiko Terazawa on May 2, 2015.
